Our intent is to use the site for communication among our members, many of whom spend part of the year in other venues, and to provide visitors to the lake with background information about the lake and a guide to courteous use of the lake so that the boaters, fisherman, and residents can share the lake in harmony.

We had a great 18th Annual Harper Lake Picnic and Fundraiser on July 21st, 2007 at Roger Zeh's house. See Flyer and Recipes. About 90 people showed up.

One of the treasures of the Harper Lake area is our small herd of white deer. These white and piebald deer are very special to us and have graced our area for several years. The alpha doe has had twins in the last two years. Most years at least one is white or piebald. in 2007, one of the fawns is nearly all white, while the other is "standard" tan. While many of us hunt and are very grateful for the opportunity to enjoy venison, we, and the DNR, consider these deer to be special and protected. If you come to hunt our area, please respect these deer and do not harvest them.
